The hotel facilities were beautiful and the staff excellent and professional. The spa in particular was fabulous - pricey but worth it.
I felt that the restaurant menus and food were not great for lunch and dinner. They were pretty similar for both meals and the food was decent/solid but not outstanding. I would have expected to have some outstanding food options given the outstanding quality of other parts of the hotel. I would still return in a heartbeat!

I had a very comfortable and relaxing 2 nights stay. The room has a river view and it calms anyone's mind just looking. The room is stylish, cozy and comfortable. Everything else was just wonderful. The buffet dinner at Wellesy restaurant was really fantastic! Wide spread of variety, fresh quality of ingredient and taste, and dessert was wonderful, a sure hit among ladies. My favorite was their mini mud cake, which exceeded my expectation. I really enjoyed lying down by the pool, relaxing and reading while enjoying the breeze and magnificent view of mountains covered in clouds and hearing the river flow. Last thing, the staffs are so nice and friendly, especially the bell boy (tall, dark and in specs) and the house keeping boy (young, very fair, chubby and specs), they are always smiling and make anyone happy just to look at them! Well done and keep up the good work!!
I was surprised that the bed was really hard, like a block of wood. It's my first time sleeping on such hard bed and surprisingly, I didn't get any backache the next morning. I still think I prefer softer bed.

We stayed at this hotel twice in two months and it was amazing. The location within the national park was unbeatable and the service was outstanding. The hotel offered a variety of activities, including outdoor movie nights and cultural dances. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed. The swimming pool and jacuzzi provided a relaxing experience, with the soothing sound of the gorge below. The spa treatments were also top-notch. we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

Really unforgettable stay, as always. Famous hotel, the breakfast is extensive, beautiful location of an one-step raised platform with light tucked under the hangover. Gorgeous and new-fashioned room, big bed and pillows. Great services, luxurious bathroom. Amazing pool, parking onsite. Fast check out.

Silks Place Taroko Hotel Fushi offers a wonderful experience in the mountains of Taiwan. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, with a shuttle service available to pick guests up. It is also close to several hiking trails, providing a great opportunity for outdoor activities. The rooms are clean and organized, with comfortable beds and a wonderful view of the gorge. The hotel offers excellent facilities, including indoor hot springs, an outdoor heated pool, a gym, a sauna, and a kid's playroom. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of dishes from both western and oriental flavors.
Some guests mentioned that the room decor could be improved, and the beds were reportedly quite hard.

The hotel was fantastic. It was beautiful, calming, and spiritually refreshing. The most important point is probably the location -right in the Taroko gorge. The scenery and setting is just stunning. The swimming pool is on the roof as are the jacuzzis and I cannot describe how wonderful it is to lie on the loungers there and just take in the view of the mountains all around --with the little pagoda enticing you to stroll up to it (in the cool of the morning). The staff were kindness itself and there were lots of activities laid on for guests as well as short tours of the gorge but just walking in the mountains was enough! The Chinese zither player on Saturday and Sunday evenings was splendid and the restaurant-while pricey by Taiwanese standards was good value for europeans and americans -especially considering the five stars of the hotel. we had a great time and will always remember it.
Everything was great but if you go without transport, as we did, you must realise that you are dependent on the hotel for everything: meals, trips, shuttle to Hualien, etc.

Our River view room was magnificent in terms of the view of the rushing river and mountains in the clouds which were spectacular ... , the privacy with fire flies, moths, clouds and I think mini bats passing us by as we sat on our balcony with an after noon drink, the bed so big and comfy, could have done with a couple of extra pillows though, will ask next time. The breakfast is wonderful with a huge selection and chef waiting to cook you the perfect egg! Service Excellent, could not fault any of the staff all treated us so well! Looking forward to taking my family to Silks Place next time we are in Taiwan it's a must! We enjoyed it so much we booked an extra night and it was no trouble for the reception staff to change our train booking either!
The Asian restaurant does have a lot of different cuisine of which we tried several and none of which were done perfectly. I would suggest to the hotel that they try perhaps two styles or stick with one and do that perfectly! I have stayed at Silks when it was the Grand Formosa and the Asian restaurant then was very good with just one style of cuisine which was Chinese. The Western restaurant was not that good either as I ordered sword fish which I don't think it was as was too greasy more like mackerel. The wine is far too expensive and there is nothing middle range to choose either. I still enjoyed the atmosphere of both the restaurants anyway.

Silks Place Taroko in Taiwan's stunning Taroko National Park is a must for exploring the park. The location is unbelievable, with beautiful views of the river and butterflies in the garden. The sleek and elegant hotel offers a comfortable bed and balconies for fresh air. The outdoor pool is huge, with hot jacuzzis, and the sauna room is perfect for detox and relaxation. The breakfast and dinner buffet has a great mix of western and Chinese food, and the staff is professional and helpful. The hotel provides a printed list of roadworks and closures along your itinerary. The service and facilities exceeded our expectations, with the honeymoon suite being a highlight. The modern, clean aesthetic throughout, excellent service, and nearby convenience store make it an excellent choice.
100% Recommend this hotel.

What a wonderful hotel in a simply awesome setting. Where to begin--we were upgraded to a fantastic room facing the Gorge, the infinity pool, the lovely, helpful staff, the serenity of the surroundings. What's not to love? There are two restaurants--western and Chinese and a fantastic buffet at breakfast and dinner. The staff was so helpful (driving us to the start of several hikes and then picking us up). We were totally happy with this beautiful, serene retreat and recommend it highly.
the dinner menu did not change (4 options to choose from-Western restaurant) so if you're staying for more than one night, it gets a little boring, even though the food was delicious.
